Traumschiff Erde? – UMWELTGESTALTUNG
Designers, architects and engineers have always been conjuring up artificial worlds that pre-empted future developments. Such projects, which typically entail extending our existing world, have included concepts for living under water, land reclamation and the creation of space communities. But do such extensions of our existing habitats result in a better quality of life? What do we gain and what do we loose by overcoming seemingly natural barriers?
