Einsamkeit durch Entgrenzung. Der Übergriff im digitalen Leben

(Loneliness through Ego-Boundary Loss: Encroachment in Digital Life)

The basis of my talk is the Expressionist belief that loneliness can arise from an inward withdrawal in response to ego-boundary violations. And that is exactly what happens in the digital world: constant bombardment with the wild and unwanted outcries of people whom we do not know personally.

Kinnert is the author of Die neue Einsamkeit: Und wie wir sie als Gesellschaft überwinden können, a book on modern loneliness written with Marc Bielefeld (Hamburg 2021), and Für die Zukunft seh’ ich schwarz: Plädoyer für einen modernen Konservativismus (2017), and she regularly publishes political commentary.
